The Norwegian Scenic Routes have been developed since the mid1990s and consist of 18 Routes in all parts of the country, and around 200 architectural artefacts. The project was initiated in order to strengthen regional development and improve the facilities for tourism. The ambition was at the same time to bring about the best in Norwegian architecture. Professor Karl Otto Ellefsen has been part of the project from the start. He will explain the ideas behind the Scenic Routes and present and discuss the architecture.”
